OK, this might be old hat for many, but the Knitting Like Crazy Mystery Shawl is my first experience with reading a chart that was not in the round. So I stumbled a bit when I tried to follow the chart instead of the written instructions. Luckily I had my knitting buddies at my LYS to guide me along the path of flat lace work. That being said, when I got home, I figured it would not hurt to investigate this a bit more.
